"Vulcanette"
is a silly name for a very nice looking covering. The silly name is
intended to clear the room of Leica purists, because it's not the same
as "vulcanite". It's a composite leather with a fine, luxurious
texture. The embossing is not as deep, but it does have an
elegant, eggshell patina that
approximates the sheen of new vulcanite. It makes for a very satisfactory makeover, retaining the classic Leica appearance. (This material is not available in sheets.) |
