Leather for the Canadian Leica M4 (M4-P & M4-2)
I've written this page for the "Leitz Canada" M4's since there are a couple of issues specific to them, and also to allow easier browsing for slower modems! Depending on which M4 you have, there is a glued-on ASA/DIN disc on the back, the Leica "Red Dot" on the front, or both. You have a choice of deleting or keeping them. The ASA dial on the back has no real use . . . it can't be set, and ASA/DIN conversions are useless nowadays. The Red Dot on the front is a personal choice; some hate them . . . some don't.
